Welcome! We are one of Gloucestershire's leading amateur chamber choirs and former winners of the BBC Radio 3 Choir of the Year competition.

We always aim for the highest standards of musicianship and we enjoy making music together. This mixture of commitment and pleasure is at the heart of everything that we do. It is one of the things that makes The Oriel Singers such a special choir to be involved with.

Our concerts are always memorable occasions. We perform music from all ages, from medieval sacred pieces through to contemporary secular classics, and intersperse these with entertaining readings given by choir members.

We sing 'a cappella' arrangements with occasional accompaniment, and combine this repertoire with one-off special events. In recent years, we have performed with The Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment and Harry Enfield, given a world premiere of a piece by James MacMillan in the Cheltenham Music Festival, broadcast on BBC radio and television, and toured to France, Ireland and Italy.

We particularly enjoy singing to enthusiastic audiences, so why not come and hear us live? We regularly perform in and around our home town of Cheltenham, so take a look at our diary to find out what we are doing next.
