Bach, and All That Jazz

We are excited to be working with The David Gordon Quartet to present a programme featuring motets by J.S. Bach sung by the choir, interspersed with jazz improvisations reflecting on the themes of the motets.

The music of Bach has a strong affinity with jazz conventions, particularly in how the melodic lines interact with one another. This promises to be an intriguing and enjoyable evening of music.

This concert will take place on Thursday 25th June at 8pm, in St. Andrew's Church, Montpellier Street, Cheltenham.
